African Union mourns tragic loss of Malawi’s vice president, others in plane crash
The African Union Commission‘s Chairperson, H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat, has expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Malawi following the tragic death of Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others in a plane crash.
Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera announced that the wreckage of the aircraft was found in Chikangawa Forest, with all occupants confirmed dead.
The Vice President’s plane went missing on Saturday, prompting a search and rescue operation that ended in tragedy.
