Nigerian netizens are opening up about the heartwarming and unforgettable experiences they miss about their 9-month pregnancy journey in a pleasingly long trend to read.
From the flutter of baby kicks to the special attention and care from loved ones, many of the delighted mothers relish the irreplaceable moments they had while pregnant.

The mothers on their various journeys shared their nostalgic feelings about the anticipation and excitement of expecting a child from the time the baby bump starts to become noticeable until they welcome their bounty of joy.
They reminisce about the bonding moments, the joy of hearing their baby’s heartbeat for the first time, and the sense of wonder that comes with nurturing a new life.
Speaking about what she missed about pregnancy, Mubassirah Bint Solih explained: “I miss the pregnancy kicks and appreciate the fact that I get to feel that first (hehehehehehhehe… Na inside me e kuku dey). I miss the extra caution and care everyone gives intentionally to obviously pregnant women (we could do better though, cos the early days when we’re not showing yet remain the most trying for some women). I miss talking to my baby even though he was not out yet. Overall though, I admire new moms… Hardly ever admire pregnant women… Who no like soft life? But in all, eru n dupe.”
On her part, Tijani Jelilah Adeola said she missed special privileges that come with pregnancy including the care and cravings. She added that she can go several miles away from home to satisfy her cravings, including local dishes such as ekuru and amala.
Ameenah Salaudeen said: “I missed baby bump too. It’s a passway. Even to the extent of packing my plates after eating. I do have big baby bump and the weight tells on me. I will just stretch my leg and relax my back after eating. Na Oga go carry am or my first son on this last pregnancy.”
“The kicks, talking to the baby, loving someone you have not meet with the while of your life. it’s so soothing. I pray Allah grant the TTC (sic) pious offsprings that will be the coolness of their eyes. ,” says Tijani Jelilah Adeola.
While Zhulykha Abisola Akande missed nothing about pregnancy, Zaynab Keji disclosed a shocking crave for sniffing yam flour and eating chalk. She confessed: “ (I) Miss sniffing elubo flour and eating chalk.”
Giving reasons for pregnancy cravings, Northwestern medicine explained that “Almost everyone experiences cravings. While the cause is not quite clear, some theories suggest pregnancy hormones can heighten sense of smell and taste, creating both cravings and aversions. Other theories suggest that it’s the body’s way of compensating for deficiencies – craving ice cream when you need calcium, fruit for vitamin D and so on.”
