President Tinubu launches education campaign to promote inclusivity, empowerment
President Tinubu has unveiled a comprehensive campaign aimed at ensuring no child in Nigeria is left behind in accessing quality education.
Speaking at the launch event, the president emphasised the critical importance of education in shaping the future of Nigerian youth, particularly girls, and highlighted several initiatives to advance this cause.
President Tinubu underscored the significance of implementing the Student’s Loan (Access to Higher Education) Act to eliminate barriers hindering young people from pursuing higher education.
This act, once fully operationalized, aims to provide unhindered access to education for all Nigerian youth, fostering a more inclusive and educated society.
The president also announced the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment’s initiative to implement a N50,000 non-repayable grant prograe benefiting one million Nigerians engaged in Nano businesses and skilled trades.
This programme, designed to support women and youth, seeks to create economic opportunities accessible to all, particularly those traditionally marginalised.
Addressing the critical issue of gender-based violence and the need for safe and conducive learning environments for girls, President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to increasing learning opportunities that empower women in various fields, from politics to science, engineering, technology, sports, and the creative economy.
These efforts, he emphasised, are vital in enabling women to excel across diverse vocations and shape their future endeavors positively.
The president’s campaign, titled “We Are Equal,” aims to empower educated girls to catalyze transformative change within African communities.
