Bobrisky saga: Eniola Ajao apologizes to Nigerian women, offers 1m  to new winners

Eniola Ajao, a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, has issued a public apology addressing the tumultuous events surrounding her recent movie premiere, “AJAKAJU,” held on Sunday, 24th March, 2024.

In a heartfelt message addressed to the public, Ajao expressed deep regret and remorse for the distress caused during the premiere.

The actress began by extending sincere apologies to the Muslim community, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, acknowledging the unintended offense caused by the proceedings of the event.

She emphasized her respect for the significance of the sacred time and expressed regret for any discomfort experienced.

Furthermore, Ajao offered profound apologies to women in society, recognizing the importance of upholding the dignity and respect of womanhood.

As a woman herself, she assured her reverence for the role of women and pledged to avoid actions that diminish their status.

Additionally, Ajao apologized to fellow actor Femi Adebayo and his wife for the unwarranted backlash they faced due to an announcement made at the premiere.

She took full responsibility for any harm caused and expressed regret for the insults directed towards them.

Notably, Ajao extended her apologies to controversial figure Bobrisky, acknowledging the distress caused by involving them in the event. She clarified that the decision to recognize Bobrisky was intended to generate publicity for the movie rather than cause harm.

In a gesture of reconciliation, Ajao announced her decision to honour Papaya Ex and Iyabo Ojo as the best-dressed females at the premiere, each receiving a token sum of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira).

This gesture serves as both an apology and an appreciation for their elegance and grace.

Despite the missteps, Ajao reiterated her primary goal of promoting her movie, scheduled to hit cinemas on 29th March, 2024. She emphasized that her intentions were never malicious and expressed a commitment to learning and growing from the experience.
