Algeria re-affirms strong backing for Sudan despite challenging situations
Algeria has thrown its weight behind Sudan as it grapples with the current challenging circumstances. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune made this assertion in the nation’s capital, Algier.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized Algeria’s dedication to supporting Sudan during a meeting with the Head of Sudan’s ruling Sovereign Council, Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who is in Algiers on a two-day official visit.
President Tebboune, while receiving Gen. Al-Burhan at the El-Mouradia Presidential Palace in Algiers, emphasized that Algeria is dedicated to standing by Sudan in the face of it current challenges.
The leaders engaged in talks focused on strengthening diplomatic ties and addressing shared challenges faced by the two nations to foster cooperation and solidarity between Algeria and Sudan.
In a joint press conference held following their deliberations, Gen. Al-Burhan expressed gratitude for Algeria’s steadfast support and asserted that Sudan is presently contending with a regional and international conspiracy.
Gen. Al-Burhan, while conveying his belief in Sudan’s ability to overcome the challenges at hand, further expressed his keenness for Algeria’s involvement in any initiatives aimed at resolving the Sudanese crisis.
President Tebboune, in turn, reiterated Algeria’s solidarity with Sudan and emphasized the importance of standing together in the face of adversity.
The visit signifies a deepening of diplomatic relations between Algeria and Sudan, with both nations pledging mutual support and cooperation in navigating regional challenges.
