Don’t do it! Kwankwaso warns newly wedded wives against checking their husbands’ phones
The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has warned newly wedded wives against needless checking of the mobile phones of their husbands.
The former Kano State governor said this at the reception organised for the mass marriage of 1,800 couples by the state government at the Open Theatre in Kano Government House on Saturday.
He said peeping into the mobile phones of the husbands is one among major reasons that are breaking up marriages in the modern time.
While commending the organisation of the mass wedding, the fourth-placed presidential candidate at the February 25 election said, “You have been advised by all and sundry. I believe you have been advised a thousand times.
“Ulamas, parents, relatives and even business people have advised you on how to live peacefully with one another.
“But, I have one single piece of advice for you, that is, checking your spouses’ phones. Don’t peep your spouses’ phones as that is the major cause of marriage breakup these days.”
