CoS to Sanwo-Olu, Tayo Ayinde, earns praise for fulfilling election pledges to Diaspora Campaign Council
Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has garnered praise from Mr. Tayo Sodeinde, Chairman of the Lagos State APC UK, for successfully delivering on the promises made during the 2023 election campaign.
On Monday, September 24, 2024, Mr. Afolabi Adebayo, the Secretary of the chapter, issued a statement highlighting Ayinde’s unwavering dedication to his commitments.
According to the chapter, during the gubernatorial and presidential elections, Ayinde pledged to sponsor a specified number of Muslim and Christian members of the chapter, as well as other support groups, on annual pilgrimage trips to Saudi Arabia and Jerusalem.
This commitment was a strategic move to garner support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and secure the re-election of Governor Sanwo-Olu, along with the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on behalf of Lagos State APC UK, Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), and the Independent Campaign Council Diaspora, Afolabi Adebayo, expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, “I must sincerely appreciate the Chief of Staff for fulfilling his promise.”
He also acknowledged that Ayinde had a track record of honouring such commitments and expressed the council’s appreciation for the support they received during their time in Nigeria.
Adebayo concluded by offering prayers for Tayo Ayinde, saying, “We pray that God Almighty continues to bless Tayo Ayinde and grants him the grace to fulfill other promises.”
