President Bola Tinubu has officially enacted the Student Loan Bill, as revealed by his aide, Dele Alake, during a press briefing at the State House. This significant legislation will provide Nigerian students with the opportunity to obtain interest-free loans.
During his campaign, President Tinubu pledged to prioritize the advancement of the education sector and the empowerment of youth, which includes the provision of student loans. He made this commitment while addressing participants at the British Royal Institute in London.

He assured that his government would be all-inclusive and highlighted the example of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The president expressed his determination to revamp the education system, ensuring that no one would be left behind. This entails implementing student loan programs, reforming the Almajiri system, constructing additional schools, increasing teacher recruitment, and providing necessary training.
To further support young individuals, President Tinubu proposed the establishment of technology hubs, offering opportunities for youths to acquire digital skills and enhance their leadership abilities. He believed that young people could develop innovative technological solutions and bring a fresh approach to governance in Nigeria.
