Tinubu’s SGF-COS: Shehu Sanni lashed over attack on Ex-governor Elrufai

Nigerians have lashed Senator Sheu Sanni for attacking Ex-Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai, and describing him as “Mr Over Sabi”.

The purported anti-Elrufai remarks made by Senator Sheu Sanni regarding President Tinubu’s selection for the positions of Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Federal Government ignited a range of reactions from Nigerians.

Sheu Sanni’s tweet, posted on Wednesday June 7, 2023, has sparked both praise and criticism from the Nigerian public.

In his tweet, Sheu Sanni metaphorically referred to the former Kaduna State governor as “Mr Over Sabi.”

Sheu Sanni wrote, “By not appointing ‘Mr Over Sabi’ as SGF or Chief of Staff, Tinubu has avoided sowing discord between the President and the Vice President, as well as avoiding a situation where someone speaks and carries themselves as more important than the two. Tinubu has effectively evaded a potentially harmful situation.”

Meanwhile, supporters of the ex-governor fired back.

Bashiru Usman Kauru wrote, “You are own your own, comrade. The man that you called as “over sabi” incinerated your political moves, that was the fact you’re dancing without music. We are proud of him. He did over sabi and made your state a better place that allows you to tweet from your home. Shine ur eyes.”

In his reaction, Khalid said, “This afro guy will never forgive @elrufai for bringing his political career to an ignoble end!!!”

Muydeen Najim tweeted that  “Mr Over Sabi” has done in Kaduna State what no Governor in the history of the state did or achieve in terms of infrastructure, job employment, IGR, giving opportunities to indigenes & retiring transistor radio Thiefnators by doing ‘aski siyasa.”

Another supporter, M.sani, reacted, “Wailers shall never end oga former Senator this all your grammars won’t stop him from coming wat Allah SAW will make him to be, idan mutun ya fika kawai Kayi accepting ya fika shikenan se a zauna lpya.Allah ya rigada ya tsara ma kowa komai na rayuwa.”
