OIC Condemns Israeli Actions in Gaza, West Bank, Calls For Accountability, Urgent UN Intervention

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned what it described as the ongoing systematic genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, as well as continued aggression against cities, villages, and refugee camps across the West Bank, including Al-Quds.
In a statement, the OIC reported that 92 Palestinians had been killed and 219 injured within the past 48 hours, raising the death toll since October 7, 2023, to 51,955, with 123,034 others wounded.
The organization described the continued Israeli actions as a “stain on humanity” and a blatant violation of international law, humanitarian values, and global conventions. It urged the international community to hold Israel accountable and immediately end what it called an escalating campaign of aggression.
The OIC also reiterated its grave concerns over the increasing incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settler groups, reportedly under the protection of Israeli forces. It stressed that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship solely for Muslims and reaffirmed that occupied Al-Quds remains the capital of the State of Palestine.
It called called for the preservation of the historical and legal status of all Islamic holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa.
In a renewed appeal, the OIC called on the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its obligations by compelling Israel to halt all acts of violence and to ensure the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
