A female hospital worker in the UK has been charged in connection with an alleged plot to kidnap, rape and murder a girl under the age of 13.

Tracy Turner, 51, an operating theatre assistant at Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales, has been suspended from her position following the heavy accusations.

Turner and her partner, Stuart Compton, 45, both from Cardiff, have been charged with conspiring to kidnap the child and plotting to sexually assault her by touching and sexually assault her by penetration, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Turner faces additional charges, including two counts of making indecent images of a child—one classified as category B and the other as category C—along with perverting the course of justice.

It is alleged that she attempted to conceal a mobile phone on June 25 last year after Compton’s arrest.

Both defendants appeared at Cardiff Crown Court earlier this month, where they denied all charges. They are scheduled to stand trial on May 12.

Turner had worked in the operating theatre of the 800-bed hospital until her suspension following police involvement. A spokesperson for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board confirmed the suspension, stating, “The health board suspended the individual once we were made aware of the allegations against them. This is a sensitive issue, and we have been cooperating with South Wales Police.”
