The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of German coach Bruno Labbadia as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s senior men’s national team. The decision was made in the early hours of Tuesday, according to NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi.

Dr. Sanusi revealed that the NFF Executive Committee had approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Labbadia as the Head Coach. This move is expected to bring a new level of expertise and experience to the team, which has been without a permanent coach since the departure of its previous manager.

Labbadia’s appointment is seen as a significant step towards revitalizing the Super Eagles, which has faced challenges in recent times.

The statement reads, “The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that it has reached an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s Senior Men National Team, Super Eagles.

“NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said in the early hours of Tuesday: “The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

‘The appointment is with immediate effect.”
