Death toll passes 34,000 in Gaza as Israeli offensives kill 36, injure others
No fewer than 37 more Palestinians were killed and 68 others injured over the last 24 hours in a fresh Israeli onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.
The health ministry in the war ravaged territory said, “The Israeli occupation (forces) committed four massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, leaving 37 martyrs and 68 injured during the past 24 hours.”
The statement added that “many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them.”
Despite the provisional ruling by the International Court of Justice, Israel continues its onslaught on the Gaza Strip, where at least 34,049 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and 76,901 injured since Oct. 7, according to statistics from the Palestinian health authorities.
Israel has been waging a relentless war in the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas, which Tel Aviv says killed nearly 1,200 people.
Israel is accused of genocide before the International Court of Justice. An interim verdict issued in January ordered Tel Aviv to put an end to genocidal acts and take steps to ensure that residents in Gaza get humanitarian aid.
However, hostilities have persisted unrestrained, and relief deliveries remain severely inadequate to solve the humanitarian crisis that has taken a huge toll on the country.
