President Tinubu arrives Nigeria from AU Summit in Ethiopia

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after his brief journey to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he attended the African Union Summit.

During his time in Ethiopia, the Nigerian leader engaged in various activities, including active participation in the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council, conducting bilateral meetings, and attending additional events on the sidelines of the AU summit.

The theme of the year’s summit is ‘‘Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, lifelong, quality, and Relevant Learning in Africa’’.

On Sunday, met with his Brazilian counterpart, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and had fruitful discussions on how to strengthen ties in all sectors.

President Tinubu emphasized the strength of Nigeria’s economic potential and influence, saying the country is witnessing a leap forward, despite some short-term reform pains, as his administration is removing all encumbrances to business, according to the presidency.

The Nigerian leader who was accompanied on the trip by ministers and other top government officials, spent three days in the East African country.
