“I’m enjoying my football,” says Bukayo Saka as Arsenal demolish Burnley 5-0
Arsenal defeated lowly Burnley 5-0 thanks to a brilliant performance from Bukayo Saka, and the Gunners once more reduced the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Liverpool to two points.
Goals from M Ødegaard (4th minute), L Trossard (66th minute) and K Havertz (78th minute) completed the rush for the rampant Gunners.
Speaking with Arsenal.com, the brilliant British-Nigeria forward expressed his joy for scoring more goals for the North London club as they push for a title win in the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Saka said, “I’m really pleased,” he said after the final whistle. “I’m enjoying my football, but obviously I need to keep focused. But yeah, of course I’m happy to score two, two weeks in a row and hopefully the third one will come soon.
“It’s coming. It’s coming, but I need to be patient!”
Saka’s latest double against Burnley took his overall club tally to 53 goals.
“Yeah it was a lot of fun out there. I really enjoyed it and it’s nice to see the fans coming up with new chants and stuff. I just loved it, so I enjoyed it.
“I think it’s really good,” Saka added. “Definitely now that, not only that I’m playing well, the team’s playing well, we’re scoring a lot of goals because we’ve got some really important fixtures coming up, starting on Wednesday and I can’t wait to go there.
“I’m really excited. So yeah, looking forward to it and hopefully we can take this form into that game as well.”
