Plateau State: Governor Mutfwang voices displeasure against fresh security breach, calls for calm
Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has voiced his displeasure against the violence in Kwahaslalek community and other parts of Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
The governor said this in a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr Gyang Bere, on Thursday in Jos.
Mr. Mutfwang expressed his sympathies to the families impacted by the recent loss of life and property in the area, lamenting the worsening security situation.
The governor, while urging the people in the impacted areas to be watchful, also urged them to report any suspicious activity right away so that the security services could act quickly.
Mr. Mutfwang urged security services to step up efforts to restore complete calm to the state, while also issuing a warning that his government would not put up with any more breakdown of law and order in any region of the state.
He urged citizens to adhere to the law and stressed that the government has put policies in place to ensure everyone’s safety, both in terms of their lives and their belongings.
